Sharing their love for songwriting and production, the band formed Your Familiar.
"Writing is our form of therapy. We are people who love pastel colours and embrace the darkness,
I think this shows in our songwriting".
Full of luscious synths, Lavender Gold reflects on 2020's hardships and the power of perseverance. Written within the walls of lead singer Breannen's home and recorded in South Brisbane's renowned studio space Alchemix Studios, the track was produced by Marly Lüske. Harvesting a new sound, Lavender Gold sits in its own energy of alternative electronica. A release that looks to the future whilst acknowledging the past, Lavender Gold stands as a beacon of hope.

Biography.
Your Familiar's introduces themselves with what they describe as “spooky art pop”. Singer songwriters, Breannen Stanbridge (Loomer) and Shem Allen (Skinny Jean), with Shane Rudken (Regurgitator, Ponyloaf), have combined pop, goth and electronica to create music that is alluring and a little gritty.
Inspired by Brian Eno, Yo La Tengo, St Vincent and Joni Mitchell, Your Familiar combines effect-laden synths, guitars with honeyed vocals and heavenly harmonies.
